DAY 1: NAIROBI – MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

On your arrival to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our company representatives for meet and greet services. Alternatively we pick you from the hotel in Nairobi for an easy drive via the Nairobi-Narok Road and enjoy a drive via typical African savanna country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Along the way, we shall have a brief stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley, which is fault line some 3,500 miles (5,600km) long stretching from Ethiopia’s Red Sea through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and into Mozambique. We will proceed and arrive at camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our first game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: EXPLORE MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Full day is spent in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. You will have the opportunity of spotting the BIG FIVE including lion, elephant, leopard, black rhino and buffalo. You will visit the Mara River which nearly boarders Kenya and Tanzania. You will have a chance of seeing Hippos and very large Nile Crocodiles, who lay in wait for a prey as wildebeest crosses on their annual quest to find new pastures.
Each year Masai Mara plays host to the world greatest natural spectacle, the Great Migration of wildebeest from Serengeti National Park, Tanzania To Masai Mara, Kenya. From July to October, the promise of rain and fresh life giving grass in the north brings more than 1.3 million wildebeest together into a single massive herd. They pour across the border into the Mara making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon. At the Mara River they mass together on the banks before finally plunging forward through the raging waters, creating a frenzy as they fight against swift currents and waiting crocodiles.

DAY 3: MASAI MARA – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Rise up early for breakfast, check out and depart Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park offers you a rare insight into Kenya’s most diverse flora, fauna and wildlife and is famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingos. The bird’s throng on Lake Nakuru itself, one of the Rift Valley soda lakes that comprises almost a third of the park’s area. More than 450 species of birds have been recorded here as well as a rich diversity of other wildlife. Lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, pythons, and white rhinos are just some of the animals you might see, and the landscapes range from sweeping grasslands bordering the lake to rocky cliffs and woodland. The park also protects the largest euphorbia candelabrum forest in Africa.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU – LAKE NAIVASHA

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast for your journey to Lake Naivasha arriving at the lodge for lunch. You will have the afternoon at leisure to enjoy a short boat ride in the lake. Proceed to Hell’s Gate for further game. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge. The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds and is the only Kenyan Park where climbing, walking and biking are allowed. Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys and Porcupines amongst others. DAY 5: LAKE NAIVASHA – AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Rise up early for breakfast, check out and depart Lake Naivasha for Amboseli National Park. We will arrive at the camp with enough time to settle in before lunch with a little time to relax before we head out for our afternoon game drive between 1600hrs to 1830hrs. We explore one of Kenya’s most popular tourist parks for the opportunity to see animals against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain- Mount Kilimanjaro. The elephants are the kings of the park, no doubt, they are fond of the swamp areas in the park, where they share the cool waters with the hippos and hide beneath the papyrus.

DAY 6: EXPLORE AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Today we rise early for breakfast and leave the camp with our picnic lunch boxes ready for a great full day adventure. The park is home to a large resident population of Burchell’s zebras. Other herbivores include Thomson’s and Grants gazelles, buffalo, warthog, Masai giraffe, impala, waterbuck and dik-dik. Baboons and Vervet monkeys inhabit the scarce woodlands. Carnivores are represented by lions, spotted hyenas, wild cats, jackals, caracals and cheetahs. With regards to birds, more than 400 species of birds have been registered, among which outstand pelican, flamingo, kingfisher, African fish eagle, ibis, secretary bird, crowned crane, grey and Goliath herons, cattle egret, black-winged stilt, little grebe, Egyptian goose, martial eagle, pigmy falcon, Masai ostrich, white backed vulture, lappet faced vulture, yellow-necked spur fowl, Kori bustard and hornbills. After the rains, the park gathers large flocks of water birds.

DAY 7: AMBOSELI – TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy one last early morning safari drive in Amboseli, and then take breakfast before departing for Tsavo West. From the sight of fifty million gallons of crystal-clear water gushing out of from the under parched lava rock that is the Mzima Springs to the Shetani lava flows, Tsavo West is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. The Savannah ecosystem comprises of open grasslands, scrub lands, and Acacia woodlands, belts of riverine vegetation and rocky ridges including the Poacher’s Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. You will arrive in time for lunch and then be taken on a late afternoon game drive with a visit to Mzima springs, etiring to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: TSAVO WEST – TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast, proceed to Tsavo East National Park with game spotting and scenery viewing enroute. This is along the 300-kilometer long Yatta Plateau, the longest lava flow in the world, make for an adventure unlike any other in the Tsavo East. The park forms the largest protected area in Kenya and is home to most of the larger mammals, vast herds of dust –red elephant, Rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, pods of hippo, crocodile, water bucks, lesser Kudu, gerenuk and the prolific bird life features 500 recorded species. we’ll break for lunch and fortify ourselves for more great game viewing during the afternoon. The pace will be relaxed – there will be plenty of time to discover the big game during safari. As we track for the wildlife all about us in this massive park, we’ll also get to witness one of Africa’s blazing sunsets Check inn at your safari camp and get ready for the afternoon wildlife exploration in this Africa’s best kept secret.

DAY 9: TSAVO EAST – MOMBASA

After breakfast proceed for early morning game drive, where you will be lucky to come across the mane-less and relatives of the man-eater lions of Tsavo, watch the beautiful elephants with huge tusks, herds of buffalos and graceful giraffes and many more. You will check out of the park game enroute to the sgr terminal for a Madaraka Express train to Mombasa. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Mombasa Beach Hotel in South Coast Mombasa.

DAY 10: FULL DAY MOMBASA

You have full day to spend at your own pleasure. You may wish to simply relax and soak up the sun or if you want to keep active there are plenty of things to do! You can try kite surfing, or diving and snorkeling on the spectacular coral reefs or you may wish to join a boat excursion to Kisite Mpunguti National Marine Park to spot dolphins and other marine wildlife. There is also the option to visit Shimba Hills National Reserve, the impressive Fort Jesus on Mombasa Island, the Diani Beach Art Gallery or Akamba Handicrafts Cooperative where you can buy traditional woodcarvings, masks, bowls and ornaments.
